Formerly owned-and-operated by French-Canadian "Mo", Mo's Restaurant Was purchased by Haiatian couple Jean & Chrisdella Delice in 2008. Since then, this intimate-but-casual restaurant has transformed into a ridiculously wonderful blend of Québécois standards and Creole favorites. Where else can you get French onion soup and escargot with oxtail and Haitain legume? The surprise is how brilliantly it works. The stove is right in public view–think diner meets fine dining–and the Delice family now have a teen son and daughter helping with the popularity of this Key West favorite. (Their youngest remains studying behind the counter.) The fare is fresh, flavorful and filling but if you like it spicy, this is the place. Special mention: locals swear Mo's yellowtail snapper dish is the best on the island.
